Toyota Kirloskar Motor has finally launched the all-new Toyota Hilux in India at a starting price of Rs. 31.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The company says the launch marks another significant milestone in strengthening its SUV portfolio in the country. This is the ninth-generation Hilux, which made its global debut in November 2025. The new Hilux is based on Toyota's IMV platform, which is designed to offer high durability for heavy-duty use, a comfortable driving experience in urban conditions, and capable performance for light off-road adventures.

Exterior and Design
The all-new Hilux features Toyota's Cyber Sumo Design, giving it a bold, muscular, and premium appearance. The front is inspired by the iconic Sumo concept and features a wide, prominent grille, a sculpted hood, and muscular proportions that enhance its road presence, stability, and commanding stance.
At the front, it comes equipped with LED headlamps featuring a welcome function, distinctive LED daytime running lamps, LED fog lamps, and a newly designed bumper with piano black accents, giving it a bold and premium appearance. The side look feels bolder and muscular with stylish alloy wheels, electrically adjustable and retractable ORVMs, and aerodynamic stabilizing fins that improve both stability and efficiency. At the rear, the SUV features LED combination tail lamps and a shark-fin antenna, which adds a modern and sophisticated touch to its overall design.
Interior
The new hilux interior has been updated focusing on comfort and practicality, now it comes with a even more premium and spacious cabin. It now features soft-touch upholstery with metallic accents, an ergonomically designed dashboard with integrated useful storage spaces throughout the cabin. It also comes with a leather-wrapped steering wheel with tilt and telescopic adjustment, Smart Entry with Push Start/Stop, power windows with jam protection, and a lot of convenience features such as wireless charging, cruise control, power steering, and a rear armrest. The rear seats continue to offer a 60:40 split-folding function, while PM2.5 air filtration and selectable Eco, Normal, and Sport drive modes further enhance comfort and the overall driving experience.
Engine
The all-new Toyota Hilux continues to be powered by the proven 2.8-litre 4-cylinder BS6 Phase 2 turbocharged diesel engine. It is a 2,755cc engine that produces 201 bhp (150 kW) of power @ 3,400 rpm and 500 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. It comes equipped with Toyota's advanced 4X4 system featuring High (H4) and Low (L4) range, along with an Electronic Differential Lock and Downhill Assist Control (DAC) for superior off-road capability. The suspension setup includes double wishbone at the front and leaf springs at the rear. It has an 80-litre fuel tank for worry free long offroad adventure trips .
Safety and Features
The all new Toyota Hilux comes with a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also features a new Optitron instrument cluster with illumination control, a multi-information TFT display and Toyota's i-Connect connected car technology convinience features. It also features steering-mounted audio controls, voice recognition, and an 8-speaker sound system.
For Safety, it now comes with seven SRS airbags in top trims, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), ABS with Brake Assist (BA), an Emergency Brake Signal, and ISOFIX child seat mounts. It also features front seat belts with force limiters, a strong GOA body structure, and speed-sensing door locks for occupants protection. It also comes with a panoramic view monitor, front and rear parking sensors, and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

The all-new Toyota Hilux is launched in three variants. The entry-level 4X2 GX AT is priced at Rs. 31.99 lakh, while the 4X4 GX AT is available at Rs. 33.69 lakh. The top;-spec 4X4 VX AT is priced at Rs. 36.69 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom). It is available in six colour options Super White, Platinum Pearl White, Attitude Black, Emotional Red, the newly introduced Sulphur Metallic, and Ash colour.
