India’s Leading Passenger Car Manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki has announced a price hike of up to 4% on their lineup effective from April 2025 in India. However, the company will not increase the price of all its models by 4%. The new prices will apply only to a few selected models. The reason for this price increase is the rising cost of parts and raw materials. These Prices have been affected by inflation and higher operational costs. Not just Maruti Suzuki, but other car manufacturers like Tata, Hyundai have also decided to increase the prices of their vehicles this year.
Maruti Suzuki currently operates two dealership networks in India: NEXA and Maruti Suzuki Arena. This price hike will apply to cars from both dealership networks. Under the NEXA platform, the company currently sells Ciaz, Ignis, Baleno, Grand Vitara, Fronx, XL6, Jimny, and Invicto. Meanwhile, the Arena dealerships offer models such as Dzire, Swift, Alto, Ertiga, S-Presso, WagonR, Brezza, Celerio, and Eeco.
Maruti Suzuki Price Hike Affects Customers and Current Discounts
Another reason for the price hike is the introduction of new technology and updated features in the cars. The company continuously adds new features to its vehicles, providing customers with more feature-rich cars and an overall better product. Maruti Suzuki has also added six airbags and other safety features such as ESC (Electronic Stability Control), Brake Assist, and ISOFIX child safety mounts as standard in some of its models like Brezza, Swift, and Grand Vitara. Due to these upgrades, a price hike can be seen in certain models.
