Mahindra Xuv 700 Ebony Edition Price, Features, Variants

Mahindra Auto has launched the new Ebony Edition of its premium mid-size SUV, the XUV700, in the Indian market. The mahindra Xuv 700 ebony edition will be available only in the top trims of the SUV, i.e., AX7 and AX7L variants. The Ebony Edition features an all-black theme in both the exterior and interior, making it look more premium and different from the regular variants of the SUV.

While some buyers and experts were expecting a facelift version of the XUV700, the company has clearly stated that they have no plans to launch a facelift version this year. This could be one of the reasons Mahindra introduced this edition, to inform buyers that no facelift is planned so far, and this edition is the only update for now.

The Mahindra XUV700 Ebony Edition will compete with Tata Safari Dark Edition, Toyota Innova, and MG Hector Plus Blackstorm Edition in the Indian market.

Exterior

There is no change in terms of design, headlights and tail lights, the ebony edition looks identical to the regular Xuv 700 with some dark elements. This edition comes in a premium stealth Black colour with contrasting brushed silver skid plates which enhance the overall macho look of the SUV. It features black-on-black grille inserts at the front and dark chrome door handles, giving it a luxurious look. It gets a new 18-inch all-black alloy wheel for a sleek and sportier look. At the rear, it gets an ebony badge at the tailgate and dark silver matt finish skid plates which gives it a very elegant look.

Interior

The Mahindra Xuv 700 Ebony Edition features an all-black interior with premium black leatherette seats upholstery. The company has also blacked out the centre console elements with silver accents which feels very upmarket and luxurious cabin feeling. Also, there are some Dark chrome contrasts on the AC vents, steering wheel and centre console.

Engine

There are no mechanical Changes in the latest Mahindra Xuv 700 Ebony edition. It will have the same petrol and diesel engines that come in regular versions of the car. A 2.0L 1,999cc Turbocharged mStallion petrol engine which produces 200 PS of power and 380 Nm of torque. The petrol engine is matted to a 6-speed manual transmission and 6-speed automatic transmission torque converter. The diesel engine is a 2.2-liter four-cylinder mHawk turbodiesel engine. It produces 185 PS of power and 420 Nm of torque.

Variants and Features

The Ebony Edition will be offered only in AX7 and AX7L variants of the Xuv 700. This edition will be available in both petrol and diesel options. However, the petrol AX7L variant will be offered only with automatic transmission. While the diesel variant will be available in both manual and automatic. It will be loaded with features like Dual 10.25-inch screens for Infotainment and Digital Cluster, Ventilated Seats, 12 speaker Sony surround system, electric seat adjustments, Panoramic sunroof and more.
